  • Are electronic bidets something new?

Electronic bidets have been around for awhile. The Toto product Washlet Zoe is listed in Guinness World Records as the world's most sophisticated toilet with seven functions. However, as the model was introduced in 1997, it is now likely to be inferior to the latest model by Toto,  The idea for the washlet came from abroad, and the first toilet seat with integrated bidet was produced in the United States in 1964. The age of the high-tech toilet in Japan started in 1980 with the introduction of the Washlet G Series by Toto, and since then the product name washlet has been used to refer to all types of Japanese high-tech toilets. They have been more popular in the European countries, but the popularity here in the the United States is catching up as more people use them and have a lot of good things to say about them.

  • I am a bit leery of these bidet toilets. Should I not be?

Trying something new can always be daunting, but we hardly ever get people wanting to to return them. Most people rave after using them which makes them more and more popular every day.

  • What should I do if I am leaving town for more than a few days?

For electronic models, we will recommend that you unplug them and shut off the water. For non-electric models, simply shut off the water. Never leave them in freezing temperatures with water inside.

  • Will using a bidet help protect the environment?

You bet it will! By not using as much toilet paper, you will be saving trees, plus it will help your local waste water district by not having as much paper waste to deal with.

  • How can I have my unit serviced?

    How to obtain service:

To obtain repair service under our warranty, you must contact us to obtain an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. Proof of purchase in the form of a copy of your original receipt must accompany the returned unit for the warranty to be valid. Take or ship the unit pre-paid to us at 4815 Lynn Ct. Shawnee KS 66216 with your RGA number and a copy of your proof of purchase.

  • Fitment & Installation Questions
  • Will a bidet seat fit my toilet?

Our bidet toilet seats will fit most two piece toilets, and a lot of one piece toilets. We offer them in round and elongated sizes. Some French style curved toilets like the San Raphael, or Rialto made by Kohler will not work with our seats. Visit our "Bidet Seat Sizes" page for more information. You can also contact us by directly to check fitment with your toilet prior to ordering.

  • Are bidet toilet seats hard to install?

All of our seats are pretty easy for the average person to install. There is usually no need to hire a plumber or electrician in most cases. You will need a GFCI outlet within reach of the toilet for our electric units. Our cords are four feet long and extend out the back center to right side as you are looking at it installed. If you need to install a new outlet, please make sure that complies with local and state building codes.

  • Is my toilet round or elongated?

One easy way to check your toilet is to measure from the mounting bolts to the front leading edge of your existing seat. The round toilets will be roughly sixteen and a half inches, and the elongated will be roughly eighteen and a half inches. Check out our "Bidet Seat Sizes" page for more information.

  • Electrical Questions
  • Will I need an electrical outlet to plug my seat into?

If you are purchasing a bidet toilet seat that has a power cord, then you will need a GFCI outlet within four feet from the back of the unit. GFCI stands for ground fault circuit interupt, which are usually installed around most sinks and bath tubs. If you have to install a new outlet, and you tie into an existing circuit that already has one of these outlets installed, then you can just use a conventional outlet. Circuits only need one GFCI installed to meet codes and be safe. Just make sure you follow all local and state building codes. Our cords are four feet long and extend out the back center to right side as you are looking at it installed.

  • Can I plug my bidet seat into an extension cord?

Yes, and no! You can power a bidet seat with an extension cord, but for safety and aesthetic reasons, we don't recommend it at all. You would still need to make sure that the outlet that the extension cord is plugged into is GFCI protected. Our cords are four feet long and extend out the back center to right side as you are looking at it installed.

  • How much electricity do bidet seats use?

The average bidet toilet seat will use around 210 KWH depending on how warm you like to keep the water and seat. This equates to roughly $16.00 per year. With the new energy savings function,  some seats get to know your away pattern and sleep when they aren't needed. Just a few penny's a day is all it takes.

  • Do I need to hire an electrician?

If you need an outlet installed, you can hire and electrician, or do it yourself. The outlet will need to be GFCI protected and will need to be installed within four feet of the back of the seat. The more hidden, the better. If you tie into an existing circuit that already is GFCI protected, then you can just install a normal outlet. Our cords are four feet long and extend out the back center to right side as you are looking at it installed.

  • Can I be shocked by your seats if they get wet?

Our bidet toilet seats are GFCI protected in case water happened to get inside the unit, so they are very safe. You do however, still need to plug them into a GFCI protected outlet.

  • How long is your power cords?

Our cords are four feet long and extend out the back center to right side as you are looking at it installed.

  • Plumbing Questions
  • Do these need to be installed by a plumber?

Most of the time, you will not need to hire a plumber as long as your existing waterline is in good shape, and you know how to use most basic tools. They are very D.I.Y easy. All required plumbing parts are included to splice into your existing water supply. If you know your limitations and aren't very handy, you can always hire a handyman to install it for you. Feel free to see our installation page for more information. We can walk you through it over the phone if we need to.

  • Do bidet toilet seats need a hot water connection?

The answer is no! Our electric bidet seats splice into your existing cold water connection and heat the water as needed. This way, it doesn't matter how far your bathroom is from your house's hot water heater. There is no waiting! Some of our non electric bidets do offer a hot and cold water connection though.

  • Will hard water hurt my bidet?

Hard water isn't good for any plumbing part due to the calcium build up. We recommend that you install the optional  iodine water filter whether your water is hard or soft. This will increase the lifespan of your electronic bidet with the in-line iodine water filter to protect your bidet against sediment and mineral buildup from water while releasing trace amounts of iodine to sterilize the water.  Each filter lasts 6-9 months.

  • Health Questions
  • Will switching to a bidet change my life?

For most bidet owners, there has not been a better improvement in the bathroom since the invention of indoor plumbing. You will be wondering why you hadn't made the switch sooner. Most bidet owners get spoiled, and hate to be out in public using the conventional toilet paper method. That where our mobile units come in handy. If you have limited mobility, or other health problems, a bidet seat will make a huge difference in your life.

  • What are the health benefits?

Let me first say that a bidet toilet seat isn't designed to cure any diseases, but it can bring relief for a lot of issues. When wiping with conventional toilet paper, you never will remove all of the residue, and some of it can't be reached with the paper. It is this residue that eventually works it's way down causing itching, and burning and hemorrhoid irritation. That is a sensitive area, and by using the the clean water from the bidet, it gives you a whole new meaning of clean. The enema feature is great for when you are constipated and need a little help. Women, can fully appreciate a bidet, since it allows them a better fresh feeling especially during their menstrual cycle. It is also a great way to freshen up before and after intercourse. It can also help to keep the urinary tract infections at bay.

  • Can the water pressure hurt?

Most models have adjustable water pressure so you can have it spray the way you want it. The water does hit you in a sensitive area, and if you have existing sores, anal fissures, or inflamed hemorrhoids, you will want to use the lower pressure settings until you have a chance to heal. The clean water will aid in the healing process.

  • How sanitary is the product.

The bidet's use the same water that you shower with. You can also install our optional iodine water filter that sterilizes the water before it enters the unit. The spray wand will go through a self cleaning process after each use making it a very sanitary process.

  • What can I do if the water pressure is too strong?

The only time the water pressure may feel too brisk, is if you some serious inflammation or anal fissures. There are a lot of nerve endings in that area. If you have this problem, you can simply adjust the pressure down to a softer setting. Having that area clean promotes healing.

  • How it works, Questions
  • What are bidet toilet seats?

A bidet toilet seat is a great way to upgrade your conventional toilet, giving it options that you will love. It simply replaces your existing seat with modern day high tech components. There are electronic ones, as well as non electric ones that mount between your existing seat and toilet. Both allow you to tap into your existing water line, and the electric ones need a GFCI outlet to plug into. The most noted features of electronic bidets are the heated seat, spray want that retracts spraying warm water, heated air dry, and charcoal filter to remove odors. Some units have options like a built in night light, self lifting and closing lid, and remote controls. For more information, take a look at the bidet toilet seats that we offer on our store page.

  • How do your Bidet toilet seats work?

Using a bidet toilet seat works starts off like any conventional toilet. You simply sit down and you immediately notice the heated seat which will help you relax. The unit will also start cycling air through the charcoal filter. Once you are done doing your business, you simply choose the appropriate button to push. Whether you need the rear wash, feminine front wash, or enema, a spray wand will extent under you and direct the water onto the appropriate area. On most models, both the water and seat temperature can be adjusted to fit your needs. You may also have options that allow the water to oscillate or massage. Once the spray nozzle is done, it will retract and clean itself for the next use. At this point, you can push the button for the warm air dryer, or use a few sheets of toilet paper to pat the area dry. Once you are done, you simply flush the stool like you normally would.

  • Does it spray warm or cold water?

All electric units have the option of setting your water temperature. Most people prefer the water to be warm, but there are times I prefer the cooler water, especially after eating spicy food. The non-electric units only spray cold water.

  • Can the water spray make a mess?

The electric toilets won't function unless you are sitting on the seat. There are hidden sensors that detect your presence. The nozzle is highly controlled to hit just the right areas. The non-electric ones can be triggered without being seated.

  • How warm can the seat and warm air be?

The seat temperature can be anywhere from room temperature up to around 104 degrees.  The warm air dryer, is less than a hair dryer and will be between 104 and 140 degrees.

  • What is the weight limit on your seats?

Our seats will accommodate people up to 400 to 450 pounds. The lids however aren't designed to be sat upon.

  • How hard is it to clean my bidet seat?

It is fairly easy to clean your bidet seat, because they are easily detachable from the toilet. You may want to occasionally clean the nozzle with a soft brush or cloth. All other surfaces can be wiped clean with a cloth. You have to be careful not to use a lot of water or harsh chemicals. You can clean the toilet bowl the same way you are used to.

  • Can the spray wand touch me?

The spray wand is designed to be several inches under you so that only the water spray will touch you.

  • Will I still need to use toilet paper?

While it's not necessary to use toilet paper with the warm air dry, some people will still use a couple of sheets to pat themselves dry, as faster alternative. You are still cutting your paper usage way down by doing this.

  • Explain the vortex water stream. How does that help me?

The vortex water stream is a concentrated stream of water that is designed to assist with loosening hardened stool in order to ease your bowel movements. It can also be used to achieve an extra level of clean.

  • How long will I need to let it spray?

The time will vary and mostly depend on the user's preference, but the average user will use a bidet for about 15 to 25 seconds per use.

  • Purchasing Questions
  • How long will it take to receive my order?

Most orders are shipped the same or next business day via UPS ground service. You can expect two to four days of travel time once it ships. We will provide you with the tracking number so you can track it's progress.
